The Painted Burro

I love the spin on Tex Mex that's here. Originally from the south, I'm fairly critical when it comes to anything claiming to be "Mexican" inspired in the realm of food. That said, this place is highly rated for a reason. The flavors and food are great. Service is pretty good, and above all, the passion fruit sorbet is the best dessert known to man. I love this place.

This is a great place to come with friends or family for some good food and drinks. While all the food was delicious, the experience didn’t quite match. All the tables are very close to each other, so there was only a few inches between our table and the table next to us which had young kids at it. We ordered a bunch of things to share, but everything showed up at the same time and there was no room on the table so we had to ask if the server could delay the rest of the food. The restaurant was very busy and we didn’t see our server very much at all. The food was 4 stars, the service was 2, so overall 3 stars.

painted burro has THE BEST chips and salsa. Brunch: had the sunrise burrito without meat. Full of eggs, garlicky greens, and deliciousness. way more food than I needed, but so good I cleaned my plate, including the side of black beans and rice.
